Applications are now open for the 2013 Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program! We need your help finding the next class of exceptional students. Can you help us spread the word?
In its signature 8-week summer program, Girls Who Code embeds 20 high school girls inside a technology company or university setting from 9 to 5 each day. Here, young women get hands-on experience in computing concepts, programming fundamentals, mobile phone development, robotics, and web development and design. Thanks to the generosity of our 2013 Girls Who Code program partners—including Twitter, eBay, Intel, AT&T, Goldman Sachs, IAC, Cornell NYC Tech, GE, and the Knight Foundation—the 2013 Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program will be offered in New York, Detroit, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Applicants must be current female sophomores or juniors in high school, and if accepted, must commit to attending the full 8-week program, 9am-5pm each day. A background in computer science is not required—we value creativity, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn.
The application is available online here, and you can learn more via our website here. www.girlswhocode.com The deadline to apply is April 15, 2013, at 11:59PM EST.
